Most golfers practice on the range.Even then very few of us practice well. The tendency is to break out the driver and wail at 1/2 a bucket of balls. Then if we feel like it we may switch to a few iron shots or even a couple of pitches. It is no surprise that 70% plus of all golfers never break 100.We educate ourselves for most of our endeavours through life, yet very few golfers educate themselves on the game. Learn proper practice rituals and they can serve you well.I went to a golf academy this winter in Kincardine hosted by Glen Massey,CPGA pro at Pipers Glen in Port Elgin Ontario.I was hoping to loosen up for the upcoming season and ended up coming away with more than I expected. The knowledge you gain from learning how to practice well, builds confidence and better technique.Execution becomes easier.Never perfect but easier.Talk to your pro, learn a little, read golf publications, take away what works for you.Practice where you need work.Practice your putting!!! over 40% of your overall score is putting.Go from three putt to two putt over 18 holes is 18 strokes! That can lower the score dramatically.Practice on how to practice…..Art
